Years ago, a very dear friend, and my mentor, taught me the rules of photography and then pushed me to break them, for that I am forever grateful. I had a portrait business that was doing just fine until COVID, like everyone else I was at home with lots of time on my hands. Photoshop and I became very well acquainted and I started experimenting with my photos. I have always wanted to share my art of photography with the world, it was a perfect time to develop something out of the ordinary. Today I photograph the world around me and then soften the images with a technique I developed during the pandemic. This process gives me the ability to take my photos and modify them to create ethereal photography. It's a unique piece of art to match the world I envision in my own mind. I feel my art connects with our desire to feel joy through letting our imaginations take us to a place that has no hard rules. A place where we can tell our own story with no judgment, a place to rest. The fact that you can't see all the details in my photos gives you, the viewer, the chance to finish the story I've started.
