Michelle Basic Hendry is an award winning artist. Her love of trees, rocks and water drew her to Central Ontario, where she ran her graphic design business for nearly a decade before deciding to try painting. For her, it is light and shadow of the countryside that nourish mystery and her spirit and drive her creative process.

The paintings for the upcoming solo show "Echoes" is inspired by the decaying rural landscape - the landscape that man has affected and nature is reclaiming or has reclaimed entirely as in the case of the Airfield at Algonquin Park.
